Fulham, Palace ponder early bid for Luton defender Mengi

Fulham and Crystal Palace are interested in former Manchester United youth star Teden Mengi.

The defender, who signed for Luton Town in the summer, has been essential for the minnows.

Per The Standard, Fulham and Palace may be ready to secure Mengi as early as January.

However, Luton are in a relegation battle and would loathe to lose such an important player.

The 21-year-old has shone for the Hatters and has been ever present in the Premier League since mid-October.

Mengi is one who manager Rob Edwards admires, with the coach admitting he has no intention of weakening his team midseason.
